EXECUTIVE TEAM
ALI AHMAD
Founder
A career that includes stints at both EY and J.P. Morgan , Ali works for the global investment management company, Wahed. An alumni of the University of Manchester, he completed his bachelors in Management in 2016. Ali set up GradGurus to support students from all backgrounds excel.
Toqeer Hussain
Head of Marketing
Toqeer has an extensive background in delivering digital change to clients such as WorldPay, AstraZeneca and Metro Bank as a Project Manager. An alumni of the University of Manchester, he completed a Masters in IME in 2018.
Ibrar Ahmed
Head of Events
Ibrar is a Chartered Accountant having trained at PwC, EY and Mazars in both external and internal audit. Ibrar is alumni from University of Manchester, he completed his bachelors in Accounting. He is currently Assistant Manager at EY where he leads a team and recently completed due dilligence for one of the largest initial public offerings in recent history.
Ahmad Astewani
Chief Financial Officer
Ahmad graduated from the University of Manchester in 2016 with a degree in accounting and finance. After completing an internship with KPMG in his second year in university he was offered a graduate position which he started upon graduating in 2016. After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2019 Ahmad took the next step in his career, joining Cowgills in their lead advisory function within the Corporate Finance division.
Mohammed Haffar
Strategy Consultant
Mohammed is a strategist who has a background working in Investment Banking and Management Consulting. He's currently based out of Lebanon where he advises a Middle-Eastern FinTech on Strategy, and is passionate about social inclusion. His external interests lie in perfumery and is currently working on engaging traditional communities in Syria who cultivate Roses.

Leila Haffar
Head of Content
Leila is an Experienced Consulting Analyst with a demonstrated history of working in the Health and Public Services industry. Leila is skilled in Talent & organisation, specialising in training and guidance for both non-profit and governmental organisations.
Saira Ahmed
Head of Programmes
Saira is a chartered accountant and specialises in Tax Advisory in her day job at MHA Moore and Smalley. Passionate about mentoring and women engagement, Saira is head of programmes at GradGurus with the aim to guide the next generation of students to success working alongside both educational institutions and companies looking to hire.
Musa Bostan
Head of GradGurus Academy
Currently working as a corporate tax advisor at BDO upon joining as a school leaver Musa has experience in both audit and tax and is currently completing the prestigious ACA qualification. At GradGurus he will oversee events focused on school leaver programmes with the aim to educate communities on what that entails and the tips on how to get through assessment centres when applying for these. He’ll work closely with university societies in the North, and aiming to hold career events utilising GradGurus national network to put together interactive sessions with relevant speakers on getting into certain industries.
